Location. Nestled on 13 acres in the suburbs of Palm Springs, Calif., is the neoclassical style Parker Palm Springs. This bougainvillea covered resort estate is within four miles of downtown Palm Springs and the Palm Springs International Airport. Hotel Features. Breakfast favorites, brunches and lunches are served at Norma's, which features indoor or al fresco dining. Dramatic black and white décor and silver chandeliers provide the backdrop for the French bistro cuisine presented at mister parker's. Menu items include Sauteed Duck Confit with Truffled Potatoes and Butternut Squash Ravioli in Vin Blanc Sauce. Beverages and light fare, including Falafel Salad and Coconut and Shrimp Ceviche, are available at the poolside Lemonade Stand. Conference rooms are provided, as is wireless Internet access. The hotel's 16,500 square foot spa, the Palm Springs Yacht Club, hosts two indoor pools and spa tubs, steam rooms and saunas. Ten rooms are available for spa services, which include massages and hydrotherapy treatments. A 24 hour fitness center provides treadmills, stationary bikes, stair climbers and Nautilus machines. Tai chi, yoga and Pilates classes are offered, as are a personal trainer and nutritionist for a fee. Additional recreational amenities include two outdoor pools, four European red clay tennis courts, croquet lawns and bocce/petanque courts. Guestrooms. White brick walls and accents in rich, earth toned hues embellish the 144 guestrooms and suites. Rooms include desks, upholstered seating, distinctive artworks and complementary fabrics in contrasting designs. Sliding glass doors open to patios or small balconies, which frame views of the garden and pool or mountains. Marble bathrooms contain bathrobes and designer toiletries. Accommodations offer cable television with premium channels and complimentary wireless Internet access. Minibars are provided. Expert Tip. Each bathroom at the Parker Palm Springs is stocked with designer toiletries including Hermes soap, Moulton Brown bath and shower gel, Penhaligon Quercus shampoo and conditioner, Erno Laszlo body lotion, Peter Thomas Roth sunblock and L'Occitane soap.
